Powamaxx Multi-file Player
The MultiFile Playa is generally intended for use in control room situations where surveillance operatives need to review video at the highest speed possible, although it is also fitted for use in the end-user environment.

The program works by displaying the videos from a single camera in 4 boxes at once. When playback finishes in one of the four boxes, the next sequential file begins to play. Playback is done as fast as possible, but can be constrained by lack of resources in CPU, disk and/or graphics card.

When the file contains as many frames as there are seconds of recording in the file, then the program treats this as a file with no movement and proceeds to the next file.

Using these techniques, it is possible to review very large amounts of data in the shortest possible time. The screenshot below shows a situation where 77 files containing 232 minutes of recordings have been reviewed in just one minute!

The captions shown under each video box are the name of the file, the current frame/total frames and the number of seconds shown so far in the video file.

Once the "Play" button has been clicked, navigate to the powamaxx files directory on whichever volume it resides and click on the filename where you want the search to start.

The "Stop" button ends all playback.

Clicking on a video box will cause the name of the currently-playing file to be stored in the list box to the right of the screen. Once all the videos have finished playing, click the "Copy" button to copy all these files to a location of your own choosing.
