Powamaxx General Setup

The General Setup screen is shown below:

Cameras in use
Use this to define the number of cameras to use when the number of cameras being used is less than the number of cameras available on the board or boards. If not set, it will default to the number of available channels.
 
Record Audio
Select "Yes" if audio input is to be recorded. Do not select this option if audio is not present as this will unnecessarily add to the system overhead and recorded file sizes.
 
Hard Disks
The Hard Disk box allows you to define which disks are to be used for recording. A maximum of 6 disks will be shown Simply click on the check box next to the drive(s) where you want recording to occur.
 
Users and passwords
Powamaxx does not have a complex system of users and passwords. Users are predefined as follows: Administrator, Default, Installer, Owner and Remote 1 - 6. You can change passwords for the users and specify what cameras a user can view or not view simply by typing a list of cameras. For instance excluding cameras 3 and 5 from those which a user can view would entail typing 3,5 into the text box next to "Cameras user cannot view".
 
Text Overlay Settings
These settings relate to text from comm ports (RS232) which is to be overlaid on to various cameras (See Camera Settings).
