Powamaxx Remote View for LAN or high bandwidth

The Powamaxx Remote Viewer is intended for use within a LAN as the images are of a very high resolution and require large amounts of banwidth. For low bandwidth situations, use the WAN Remote View facility.

The picture below shows a sample remote view screen with 4 remote cameras and the remote view tool bar in position::

Note that when Powamaxx is not detecting motion and the camera goes into idle mode where it might be set to record 1 frame per second, the transmission of frames to the remote viewer will also slow down, thus saving on network usage.

So if motion is happening in a masked area or is too small to trigger motion detection and the full 25 frames per second recording, then you may notice that the remote picture is being updated once a second. When full recording resumes, then the remote viewing motion becomes fluid again.

You can view up to 16 cameras on Powamaxx Remote View. When the Remote View program is started for the first time, no cameras will be shown as the setup has not been done.

Click on the Setup button and you will see a screen similar to that shown above. Enter the IP address and the camera number of the remote DVR in the appropriate boxes, You must also enter a valid user id and password for the Powamaxx DVR. Note that the user and password must be the same across all the DVRs that you want to view.

In order for the Remote Viewer to work, a network connection must be active, even if you are running it on the DVR.
